Carnal Carnival - Tarot

From a slightly more Celebritarian standpoint. For once I really don't know how to classify this shoot. It was a little bit dandy, a little bit carny, a little bit theatre and a little bit sideshow, a little bit Broadway and a little bit back alley. Sums me up pretty well.

This shot didn't quite do what I was hoping. I wanted more focus to be on the cards, as I chose them specifically for their meaning and their position in the layout. Basically I hand-picked a reading that alluded to a future that I wanted for myself and photographed it in the hopes that as the reading became the past, it would continue into the future as well, going both ways. Self-fulfilled prophecy. I've been toying with the idea of doing more tarot-themed work but I haven't decided if I'm willing or able to put that much effort into such an extensive project. But I did really like this photo, so here it is. Whether or not anything comes of it is anyone's guess.
