And back to the photos I didn't take myself, but this one is so utterly gorgeous. It's a companion shot to the two the photographer has previously uploaded (and you should go see them over on her profile).
I really love this one because of the immense swoop of my fucking amazing hawk. For awhile I thought it'd be a good look for me and with recent life changes this was a very empowering shoot and a very powerful shot. It's a little Mad Max and oddly not a whole lot of Manson in this one, but I adore it anyway. And I suppose my battleready appearance worked, because ten days after this shoot I won one of the things I've been fighting toward for a long time. In wine there is truth, in art there is life, and for as often as my art imitates my life, frequently my life imitates my art. Huge thank you again to Miss Tart for her ever so special touch and also to Eirik Aswang's incredible rubber spats, which looked even better on my arms than they did on my legs. I said all pics from this shoot have a Perish-esque feel to them but initially they reminded me of Mad Max as well, though I didn't mention it. Glad to see you think so too.
